Glaze originated on the quad at Wright State University. In-between classes (or while skipping them) people would gather on the quad, talk, play music and enjoy the sun. At one point some of us began to gravitate towards each other and before long the microcosms of all our separate lives merged and we found that we "clicked". We started hanging out, playing music, and have been life long friends ever since. Each of us has our own musical preferences which are very different, but in the areas of overlapping interest we  find our groove.

Glaze has been compared to everything from Seattle grunge bands to the "The Monkees". We've honestly never tried to "Be like (insert band name here)" we just play music and see what happens. We enjoy writing a full range of songs and I could never imagine us only doing "one type of music". Within that formula we usually have a little something for everyone. You may not love all our songs, but most people find one or two songs of ours they like.

Though we absolutely love to do it we don't play out that often. We're not very good self promoters, and we all have pretty tightly packed lives. We all have jobs that "pay the bills" so we don't have to compromise when it comes to writing songs, we're writing for us first and foremost. Not being "big" isn't something that keeps us up at night. Every show is a chance for almost everyone to "discover" us for themselves. Sure we'd love to be rich and famous but at the same time, (unlike 95% of the musicians out there), if we knew we would never play in front of an audience again, we'd still be getting together and playing music simply because we absolutely love doing it. We are by no means a major part of "The Local Music Scene" and that's probably for the best as that leads to a whole different set of compromises.  That's us in a nutshell,... what, you want more?!
